Hand-painted art that glows with colour
Each bottle light is painted by hand, directly onto glass. Colour is built in transparent layers, allowing light to move through the work. The process is slow and intentional. No stencils. No vinyl. No pre-printed designs. No exact duplicates. Every piece is an original, hand crafted artwork.
About the artist
I paint glass by hand in my studio in Nova Scotia, working directly onto each piece rather than using stencils or printed designs. My bottle lights focus on colour, light, and the quiet transformation that happens when glass is illuminated. I bring that same careful, hand-painted approach to my paintings and other work.
Every piece is made slowly and individually, with attention to detail and variation rather than repetition. No two pieces are ever exactly the same.

A note about the name
You may know my work under the names Randam Art or the domain name Painted Light. After more than 30 years of creating and exhibiting under that name, I’m now simply working under my own name — Miranda Jordan. This change reflects a personal shift, not a change in the work itself. You’re in the right place. You may still see my previous logos on older photographs and listings across the internet. I retain full rights to those names and logos and am simply phasing them out over time. Read more about the transition…
