About the Artist

Hello, I’m Miranda Jordan, and I create original hand-painted art from my home studio in Nova Scotia, Canada. I’m best known for my illuminated bottle lights inspired by stained glass, but my work also includes note bottles, ornaments, candle holders, hand-painted cradle board paintings, and more recently, embossed metal art. Each piece is painted by hand, without stencils or printing, making every creation truly one-of-a-kind.

I’ve always loved working with colour and texture, exploring how light interacts with paint to create something that feels personal and full of character. Whether it’s a glowing bottle light or a painted ornament, I focus on detail, thoughtful design, and vibrant colour to make art that brings warmth and personality into the spaces it inhabits.

If you’ve known me as Randam Art or Painted Light, welcome — you’re in the right place. These were names I’ve used for many years online, and while the websites and domains may change, the art and care behind it remain the same. Using my own name now allows me to present all of my work under one identity, without limiting it to any one type of creation. You can read more about the story behind the name, and why I made the change, on my brand history page.

Originally from Australia, I spent some years living in the United States before moving to Nova Scotia, where I now live with my husband and our rescue pets. My journey as an artist has been shaped by colour, imagination, and a lifelong fascination with how simple materials — glass, paint, metal — can be transformed into something meaningful.

I hope you enjoy exploring my work, whether you’re here to browse, be inspired, or find something special for your home or as a gift. Every piece I create is made with care and intention, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.
